Ticketing and live event discovery platform DICE has announced the return of its DICE Live Award, which will take place on 22 November at new venue The Lower Third, part of London’s new Outernet district.

It said the winner of the award, which celebrates live music talent in the UK and Ireland, will be decided by senior industry figures, with testimonial input from promoters, venues, managers and labels. Having last taken place in 2019, previous award winners were Little Simz (pictured), Dave, Slowthai, Loyle Carner and Wolf Alice.

The Lower Third at Outernet is a DICE partner venue and is one of Outernet’s new entertainment venues which occupies the former 12 Bar on Denmark Street. The Lower Third is part of the new billion-pound immersive media, music and culture district.

DICE founder and CEO Phil Hutcheon said, “The DICE Live Award is just about the artists. No dinner, no long speeches, no other awards, just an opportunity to recognise the brilliance of an artist who has truly broken through with amazing live performances.”

DICE global head of music Andrew Foggin said, “It’s the perfect time to bring back the DICE Live Award and champion the acts who are constantly reminding fans just how much we love live music. Being a great artist isn’t only about creating music in a studio, but also having the charisma and talent to deliver performances that people will remember for years to come.”
