The O2 arena (cap. 20,000) has hosted 239 performances this year, a 19% increase on 2024, making it a record year for the London venue.
More than 2.9 million tickets were sold for shows at the AEG Europe-owned venue this year, an 11.5% increase from 2024.
AEG attributed the growth to reinvestment in live event technologies, enhanced ticketing experiences, and a diverse programme of music, sport, entertainment and comedy events. This summer, The 02 hosted an ‘in conversation’ with former US President Barack Obama.
In 2025, The O2 welcomed 55 first-time performers, a 34% increase from 2024. Debut acts included Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, Pitbull, and Tyler, the Creator, each of whom performed multiple sold-out shows.
In November, Radiohead helped The O2 achieve a record-breaking year by setting a new single-show attendance record (pictured), drawing 22,211 fans.
The venue also reached sustainability milestones, completing a transition to 100% green energy.
Recently, The O2 also established a three-year partnership with Music Venue Trust to support the UK’s grassroots music ecosystem.
The O2 ranked first on Billboard’s global charts for total attendance and number of shows, and second worldwide for total gross. It remains the only UK venue among the world’s top 20 arenas.
The O2 vice president and general manager Steve Sayer said, “Welcoming more events and more fans than ever before is a powerful reflection of both the continued strength of the live entertainment sector and the relentless dedication of our team, who work tirelessly to deliver best-in-class experiences for the millions of guests we are proud to host each year.
“Our 2025 programme has been ambitious, diverse, and truly global, while The O2 continues to set the standard for innovation, fan experience, and sustainability. This year stands as one of the most successful in our history, and as we look ahead to 2026, our commitment to delivering world-class content and supporting the artists, partners, and communities we serve has never been stronger.”
