Former US President Barack Obama is to take to the stage for arena shows in London and Dublin, promoted by Kilimanjaro Live.

The 44th President of the United States is to be the subject of an ‘in conversation’ event series taking in London’s 20,000-capacity O2 arena on 24 September and the 13,000-capacity 3Arena in Dublin on 26 September.

The events, presented by Seat Unique, Fane, Kilimanjaro Live and Singular Artists, will see Obama interviewed by historian and broadcaster David Olusoga in London and Irish journalist Fintan O’Toole in Dublin. They are billed as ‘rare events exploring what comes next both for America and globally’.

Fane, which specialises in producing and curating spoken word events, was acquired by Kilimanjaro and Gigantic Tickets-owner Deutsche Entertainment AG (DEAG) in October 2021. Singular Artists is a joint venture between Kilimanjaro Live and the Dublin based promoting trio of Brian Hand, Simon Merriman and Fin O’Leary.

Kilimanjaro CEO Stuart Galbraith and Fane Group CEO Alex Fane issued a statement in which they said, “We are incredibly honoured to bring President Obama to the UK and Ireland for these truly special events. His message of unity and progress resonates deeply, and we anticipate an evening that will inspire and empower all who attend.

“We believe in providing exceptional experiences, and this event perfectly aligns with our mission to connect people with inspiring moments.”
