Dubai recently hosted the four-day DP World Tour Championship, a golf tournament which saw Ryder cup teammates Francesco Molinari and Tommy Fleetwood competing to become Europe’s no 1.

The event was held at Jumeirah Golf Estates, and was the 10th anniversary of the tournament.

Creative Technologies (CT) delivered all video for the event, including 4 ROE CB5 outdoor screens. CT’s Dubai project manager Barry Collins said: The ROE CB5 is ideal for outdoor viewing, even in daylight.

“The custom detachable touring frames are specifically designed with outdoor applications in mind and has been wind rated to provide structural rigidity while providing a lightweight solution.”

The event also featured live music performances for attendees in the Champion Village, as well as food and drink vendors and free golf lessons. CT’s situated a 21sqm screen here to allow visitors to keep up with the action.

Another 21sqm screen faced the grandstand by the final hole of the driving range, while an 11sqm Absen A3 Pro indoor screen was located inside the championship hospitality chalet.

CT’s London account manager Richard Smith added: “The indoor screen in the hospitality chalet has never been done on any touring event before and it was a great success. We have received nothing but positive feedback.

“This year’s event as always was a great success, with crew and kit coming from both the Dubai and London offices, it’s a real global team effort and an event I always look forward to”.
