Olivia PowellSkylight has officially begun its winter season. Themed around an urban après skate bar, the venue is hosting a number of seasonal features, all accompanied by ‘some of the best views in the city’.
Situated above Tobacco Dock in Wapping, Skylight boasts three floors of live entertainment, bars, street food, screens, lawn games and an view of London’s iconic skyline. To kick off the festive season, the venue will undergo a full winter makeover, transforming its terraces into spaces designed for shorter days and colder nights.
Skylight will also be hosting Europe’s only real-ice rooftop ice rink, which shares the main level with the pergola bar. Guests can continue the icy fun at Skylight’s ice hockey penalty shooting game on the lower level.
The top level of the venue will continue this theme by featuring igloos and huts, complete with mulled wine, a heater and blankets to keep visitors cosy.
Skylight will also have a changing programme of cutting edge DJs, events and parties including Halloween On Ice taking place on the opening night, regular Festive Singalong events, a tree decorating evening, Burns Night, Australia Day and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Skylight’s winter programme will run from 31 October 2019-25 January 2020.
