T in the Park will say “bye bye Balado” at the festival’s final event at the Kinross-shire site this year before moving to Strathallan Castle for 2015.

Security and crowd management specialists Showsec will be on-hand to help organisers DF Concerts & Events and T in the Park fans bid goodbye to the site.

“We all want to see T in the Park finish on a high note at Balado,” said Showsec’s director Mark Logan. “We appreciate what a special occasion this will be in the Festival’s history.”

Showsec will begin its three-year contract with DF this year, providing up to 1,200 staff throughout the weekend.

The company has been on-site for about a month in preparation for the fest and security staff will be placed across the arena and the campsite.

“The opportunity to operate at T in the Park strengthens our position in the music festival world,” Logan said. “It will also be the largest operation we have put in place in Scotland, making it a big step forward for [our Scottish] office in terms of our position in that market.”

More than 200 acts will play across 10 stages at T in the Park, with Calvin Harris, Pharrell Williams, Arctic Monkeys and Ellie Goulding all confirmed to headline. The fest is expecting around 85,000 punters to descend on the Balado site when it kicks off this weekend (11-13 July).

Showsec will move to Strathallan Castle next year along with the festival.
