Rock am Ring has recorded the strongest ticket launch in its history, with more than 48,000 tickets sold within the first hour of sales for the 2027 edition.

The German festival, which concluded its 41st edition at the Nürburgring from 5-7 June, immediately opened ticket sales for next year’s event, continuing its longstanding tradition of launching the next edition as the current one ends.

The huge on-sale saw more than half of the 90,000-capacity festival’s tickets snapped up. Rock am Ring is promoted by CTS Eventim subsidiaries FKP Scorpio and PRK DreamHaus.

Rock am Ring’s organisers also revealed the first headliner for next year’s festival during this year’s event, with American pop-punk band Blink-182 set to make their debut appearance at the German event. The festival’s promoters described the booking as one of the most highly requested debut performances in the festival’s history.

The 2026 edition featured headliners including Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Volbeat, Electric Callboy, Sabaton, Iron Maiden, The Offspring and Bad Omens.

Rock am Ring celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, and remains one of Europe’s largest and longest established rock festivals.

PRK DreamHaus CEO Matt Schwarz said, “The extraordinary atmosphere and enthusiasm we experienced at the Nürburgring this past weekend are already reflected in the ticket sales for 2027. We are deeply grateful for this record-breaking start.”
