Temporary power has been replaced by permanent power for half of this year’s Jousting Festival at Loxwood, West Sussex.

For the last six years, The Technical Department have been supplying temporary power distribution and generation to the Loxwood Joust Medieval festival, which takes place at the magical Loxwood Meadow in the heart of the West Sussex countryside.

For this year’s festival, which runs for two weekends (4, 5, 11 & 12 August 2018, 10am-6pm daily), the company installed a 200amp permanent power supply onsite to power half of the festival, which reduces the need for half of the generator power, but also has a saving on fuel and in turn reduces event pollution and its carbon footprint.

As members of The Electrical Contractors Association (ECN) and PLASA as well as being regulated by BS7671, The Technical Department are able to work on outdoor or indoor events, as well as providing specialist electrical services to non-event related projects.

The Loxwood Joust “filthe and fury” festival remains one of our favourite annual events and attracts visitors from across the south east of England. Highlights include archery, local organic food, fine ales while children can enjoy their very own Children’s Kingdom – a festival within a festival where the ‘Medieval Groat’ is the currency.
