Live Audio Production outlines its ongoing relationship with Dr. Martens, which recently took the company to Field Day

Live Audio Production has had an ongoing relationship with Dr. Martens over the past five years, providing technical production support for their in-store promotional events, principally in London.

In 2017 they opened The Boot Room venue as part of the new Camden Market store, which features regular live performances and workshops, alongside a small museum of the history of the development of the Dr. Martens brand, and it’s long standing relationship with live music. The Boot Room On Tour stage is an opportunity to spread the word of this heritage across the country.

Live Audio Production was asked to provide technical production management for the Boot Room On Tour stage for 2019, covering Live At Leeds and Field Day. This was a big vote of confidence by the Dr. Martens marketing team, and quite a big logistical challenge for us, as a relatively small business.

As well as supporting the events themselves, we were also a key part of the pre-production team, ensuring all artist requirements were catered for. Capitalising on our experience of operating on several festival sites over the past 6-7 years, we were able to ensure that both events were a resounding success.

Being involved the the Dr. Martens stage has been a major catalyst in the upgrade of our main PA system, to a new d&b Audiotechnic Y-series system. This was used for the first time at Field Day festival and proved our long standing belief that it is pretty hard to be a d&b system.

As well as the PA system, Live Audio Production provided a basic lighting system, stage extension & stage crew for both of the Dr. Martens On Tour events. We are already looking forward to 2020 and working with Dr. Martens to take the Boot Room on Tour further and wider.
