Historic Royal Palaces and IMG are to host a 3,000-strong audience for each show at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Festival, running from 5-23 June and featuring megastar Lionel Richie

Richie will be followed by performances from pop singer extraordinaire Paloma Faith, guitarist Joe Bonnamassa, Hampton Court Festival favourite Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, American rock legends The Beach Boys, Take That singer Gary Barlow and iconic Welsh crooner Tom Jones.

The line-up will all be taking to the stage in Henry VIII’s historic courtyard. The festival will conclude with Fanfare & Fireworks with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

In what will be the festival’s 26th year, guests will be able to take advantage of Hampton Court Palace’s setting by enjoying a picnic in the Palace Gardens prior to the concert.

While several shows are already sold out for general admission, a variety of exclusive dining and corporate entertainment options are available for each show to further enhance the evening. These include afterhours access to the Palace’s magnificent State Apartments for a champagne reception and a delicious dinner fit for a King, before guests make their way to the open air auditorium for the evening’s performances.

Liz Young, head of events at Historic Royal Palaces, said: “We are excited to once again be hosting such world-renowned artists as part of our Hampton Court Palace Festival this year, with one of the best line-ups we have seen to date. The festival is always a stand-out occasion and this year promises to be no different, with our magnificent Tudor Palace providing a striking, and atmospheric backdrop to the celebrations.

“All proceeds from events held at the palaces help to ensure they are well maintained, accessible and open for everyone to enjoy, so all those attending the festival will be contributing to the continued upkeep of Hampton Court Palace – alongside enjoying world-class entertainment.”

Stephen Flint Wood, managing director of Arts & Entertainment, IMG continued: “ We are delighted to announce this remarkable line-up of artists for this summer’s Hampton Court Palace Festival. Watching some of the world’s greatest musicians in the idyllic setting of the Base Court of Hampton Court Palace is the perfect way to spend a summer’s evening.”
