FOCUS Wales, an international showcase event in Wrexham that is set to host 20,000 attendees, has added another 80 acts to the 2023 edition in May.

The festival, supported by Arts Council of Wales, PRS Foundation, and the Welsh Government, will see more than 250 acts from Wales and around the world descend upon the North Wales town from 4–6 May.

Among the 80 new acts announced today, 30 January, are Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage, The Trials of Cato, ALASKALASKA, Jodie Marie, Baba Ali, Cowboyy, and CHROMA. They join an already announced lineup including The Coral, Billy Nomates, Adwaith, Squid, Dream Wife, The Joy Formidable, and Neue Grafik Ensemble.

With around 500 international industry professionals set to attend the festival, FOCUS Wales has become Wales’ biggest music industry event, with three days of panels, keynote talks, and industry advice.

Among the industry delegates involved in FOCUS Wales will be Anika Mottershaw (Bella Union), Joy Warmann (Secretly Group), Andrea von Foerster (Firestarter Music, USA), Jerome Williams (EBB, Netherlands), John Kerridge (Glastonbury) and Adam Lewis (Planetary Group, USA).

Focus Wales 2023 is set to welcome artists from the Balearics, Belgium, Canada, Catalonia, England, France, Guinea, Ireland, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Scotland, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and the USA. More than 100 artists are yet to be announced.
