South West Wales’ newest live events entertainment space, the Swansea Arena (cap. 3,500), has partnered with Swansea Building Society for a multi-year deal, renaming it the Swansea Building Society Arena, effective from Tuesday 28 January 2025.

The five-year partnership between the two Swansea institutions includes the venue’s new name, physical branding throughout the arena, and digital branding on its LED façade, social media, and website.

Developed by Swansea Council and operated by ATG Entertainment, Swansea Building Society Arena is part of the £135m Copr Bay Phase One development.

Since opening in March 2022 with a sold-out John Bishop show, it has hosted national and international artists like Alice Cooper, Paloma Faith, and Michael McIntyre, as well as the region’s most prestigious events, including the Child of Wales Awards in September 2024 and the BetVictor Snooker Shootout in December 2023.

The arena is part-funded by the Swansea Bay City Deal, reinforcing its commitment to bringing top live entertainment to the region.

Swansea Building Society Arena venue director, Lisa Mart said, “It has been extremely important to us to make sure our naming rights partner fitted with our values, and we feel that Swansea Building Society is the perfect fit for us. We’re all collectively looking forward to seeing what the next five years will bring for the Arena and the city.”

Swansea Building Society chief executive, Alun Williams said, By supporting the venue, we aim to enrich the lives of residents and visitors alike, ensuring Swansea’s cultural legacy continues to shine brightly on both a local and global stage.”
