Joe GallopInternational showcase festival Focus Wales has announced the first wave of artists and industry names for the 2023 event.
The event, supported by Arts Council of Wales, PRS Foundation, and the Welsh Government, will take place from 4-6 May across multiple venues in Wrexham, North Wales.
With around 500 industry professionals due to attend, the event will consist of three days of panels, keynote talks and industry advice.
The first industry representatives announced include: Lauren Down (End of The Road Festival), Cecilia Soojeong Yi (DMZ Peace Train Festival, South Korea), Claudia Ferigo (Suns Europe, Italy), David Silbaugh (Summerfest, USA), John Kerridge (Glastonbury Festival), A Guy Called Gerald, Grace Puluczek (Fira B!, Balearic Islands), Ben Ryles (DHP), Gugai MacNamara (Galway International Arts Festival) + PRS Foundation, PPL, and Arts Council.
More than 250 acts are billed to perform at the event. Among the first to be announced are Billy Nomates, The Joy Formidable, SQUID, Neue Grafik Ensemble, A Guy Called Gerald, The Coral and Dream Wife.
