The East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced the return of the Cambridgeshire Classic Sportive cycling event to the venue.

Organised by UK Cycling Events, a dedicated cycling events company, the Cambridgeshire Classic Sportive is aimed at cyclists of all abilities. It features three routes through the local countryside, the Short, the Standard and the Epic, at 55 km (34 miles), 84km (52 miles) and 113km (70 miles) respectively.

In addition to providing the route marking and organisation, UK Cycling Events will also be providing participants with full mechanical support, medical support, feed stops and other essentials for a long cycle ride. Participants will receive online finisher certificates, finisher gifts and medals, and their times for each stage will be available via an online results board.

East of England Arena venue director Jason Lunn, said: “The Cambridgeshire Classic is a very good event, attracting cycling enthusiasts from all over the region looking to get back into the saddle after a long winter, as they prepare for the main event season. It’s a pleasure to welcome this event back to the venue, and we’re all looking forward to helping make it a success.”

The Cambridgeshire Classic Sportive will take place on 1 March 2020.
