THOR’S tipi bar, a Viking-themed attraction, will be returning to Lincoln.

Last year over 50,000 people visited the bar, which is inspired by Lincolnshire’s Viking heritage. The bar itself is now a firm fixture of the festive offerings in the city.

THOR’S tipi bar, located on Cornhill Square, aims to provide ‘a cosy winter retreat’ for all those passing through the city.

Two interconnected canvas tipis will form the bar, which will be decorated in true Viking style, with wooden tables and benches, cosy furs and an open fire pit. There will also be an outdoor area, which has been given a new look, providing more seating to patrons.

A brand-new drinks menu offers both hot and cold cocktails with a Christmas twist, beers from around the world and local ales and stouts. An extensive wine list, soft drinks and a non-alcoholic selection will also be available, as well as whilst traditional festive drinks like mulled wine and hot chocolate.

The Cheese Cave, ‘one of Lincoln’s favourite street food vendors’ will also be returning to the bar with its vintage trailer serving up grilled cheese street food.

Co-founder of THOR’S, Maria Farrugia, said: “Being part of the festive offering in Lincoln is always exciting. The area around Cornhill Square is close to completion and looks fabulous how it has been redeveloped. To complement this, we too have made an adjustment to our look and offering and hope that even more people will discover us this Christmas.

Our exciting new menu and the ability to book Christmas party bookings again we hope will give our customers the best experience. Friends, families and even dogs are welcome under the twinkling canvas. Add our friendly team and the roaring log fire and we truly are Christmas in a cup!”

THOR’S tipi bars will be travelling to York, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham and London over the Christmas season.
