Bespoke logistics specialists Sound Moves has unveiled its refurbished logistics facility in Ashford near London’s Heathrow Airport.
Its new long-term home, Abbeygate House, marks an important step in the 20-year-old company’s development.
The house features an 18,000-square foot warehouse for transit cargo and long-term storage, two cargo docks, overnight parking, and an x-ray withd ual view screening.
Guests toured the refurbished building, which includes the crew break room, a state-of-the-art boardroom with video-training facilities, and a 1950s theatre-themed reception area, designed by artist Jonathan Minshull exclusively for Sound Moves.
The company provides forwarding and logistics services to a wide variety of tours, including The Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, P!nk, Kasabian and Sadler’s Wells Theatre. Sound Moves also provides to Ellipsis and Pulse Group – creative agencies – Gogglebox Entertainment and Dryspace Structures.
“Sound Moves is well-known and highly respected in the music touring sector both in the UK and worldwide,” said Simon Jackson, business development manager. “The investment in Abbeygate House is part of a larger development plan for Sound Moves and our wholly owned facility is a statement of intent at its foundations.”
