Jon Parr has been elected president of MUTA, the trade association for the UK temporary structures and technical textiles industries.

Parr was elected at the association’s annual AGM this week (13 May). He replaces Tony Marsh, who held the role for seven years.

Parr has represented suppliers and manufacturers on MUTA’s executive committee since 2009. He is the managing director of tipi suppliers Tentipi.

“I’m thrilled to have been elected president of the association,” Parr said. “This is an important and exciting time for MUTA as we seek to further our position as the voice of the industry, raising awareness of the association and promoting its standards amongst those within the industry and the wider public.”

Claire Chapman has also been elected to the executive committee. She represents Small Structures and joins re-elected members Simon Bell (suppliers and manufactures), Mark John (inflatable play), Adrian Dann and Keith Bishop (large structure hirers) and Lucy Henman (small structure hirers).
