Marshall Amplification launches its annual Ultimate Band Contest on July 1, offering the winners a slot at Download Festival 2014.

Other prizes include a customised Marshall cabinet for the best guitarist, an Eden amp for the best bassist and a Natal snare drum for the best drummer. The top five shortlisted bands will also be given the opportunity to perform at the Marshall Theatre in Milton Keynes in November 2013. 

The competition is sponsored by Download, Ave Satanas, Lick Library and Smokehead Whisky. Marshall Amps will provide full endorsement for their band of choice in 2014. 

Bands can enter by submitting either a live video recording or a music video at www.marshallubc.com
