LS Events co-founder Dave Grindle and the company’s former operations director Steve Reynolds have been appointed co-CEO’s of the events production company.

It said the duo will continue to play key operational roles but their promotion reflects the significant strategic contribution they have made to the business as it continues to experience growth.

Formerly known as LoudSound, LS Events was founded in 2004 by Grindle and Jim King, who is now CEO of European festivals at AEG Presents.

Reynolds, who is among the speakers at the Event Production Show, joined the company in 2016 and has since widened the company’s reach into new areas including sports, public sector and ceremonial events. The key recent events it has been involved in include the funeral plan for Queen Elizabeth II, otherwise known as Operation London Bridge.

Among the projects LS Events will be involved in delivering this year are AEG-promoted London festivals BST Hyde Park and All Points East, and ABB FIA Formula E races including the Hankook London E-Prix, Cape Town E-Prix and the Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix.

Reynolds said, “This exciting evolution of our structure enables Dave and I to continue to focus on our clients’ needs whilst empowering our incredible team to deliver first class operational solutions.”

Grindle said, “Having been with LS Events since its inception, it’s humbling to reflect on how far the business has come. I’m proud to be stepping into this role alongside Steve at such an exciting time in our company’s development.”

Steve Reynolds will be among the speakers at the Event Production Show conference on 1-2 March. He will feature on a panel, focusing on Operation London Bridge, alongside Sunbelt national business development director Geoff Fawkes, Arcadis’ Debbie Knellar, Westminster City Council special projects Katherine Eaton and GLA Major ceremonials manager Sophie Scowen.
