Parklife Festival and Warehouse Project co-founder Sacha Lord, Westminster City Council special projects lead Katherine Eaton, Boomtown operations director Judy Bec and UNBOXED executive director Phil Batty OBE are among the many senior events professionals due to speak at the Event Production Show (EPS) 2023 conference.
EPS organiser Mash Media has announced the full line up of speakers for the main stage, Access All Areas, conference sessions that will run from 1-2 March.

The panels will tackle key issues facing the live and outdoor events industry as it prepares for a season that is not only due to be extremely busy but also very demanding due to challenges including the ongoing impact of inflation on the supply chain and audience spending power.

Chaired by Access All Areas content director Christopher Barrett, the opening session, titled Industry For The Future, will explore how the live events industry can collectively work better to cope with broad challenges around geopolitics, economics and customer confidence while ensuring the Government more fully recognises and reflects its huge contribution to the economy and the public’s wellbeing. Panellists will include Judy Bec, Sacha Lord, LIVE CEO Jon Collins and Artichoke director Helen Marriage.

Along with sessions focused on key topics including the evolution of event production technology, how to reach the fan of the future, sustainability, women in sport & entertainment, and challenges in the venues sector, the conference will include case studies on two key Government-backed projects: Operation London Bridge and UNBOXED.

The Operation London Bridge session will include input from some of the key players involved in the extraordinary level of preparation and delivery that went into making sure the funeral plan for Queen Elizabeth II ran smoothly and demonstrated to the world the expertise and professionalism of the UK events industry. Among the speakers will be LS Events Event director Steve Reynolds, Arcadis’ Debbie Knellar, GLA major ceremonials manager Sophie Scowen, Sunbelt’s Geoff Fawkes and Katherine Eaton.

Barrett said, “The Event Production Show is a unique opportunity to not only explore the best event production products and services available, but to network with professionals from all corners of the industry and debate key issues. We very much look forward to welcoming key players in our world-leading industry to the main stage conference at EPS.”
