A new one-day outdoor dance music event, Club Classical Ibiza, is set to debut in Leeds this summer.

The event will be located at Leeds Millennium Square (pictured), which has a capacity of 5,000, and is scheduled for 26 June.

Electronic duo Utah Saints will headline and curate the inaugural event. The show will combine electronic dance music with live orchestral arrangements performed by the 50-piece Opera North.

Club Classical Ibiza is a collaboration between Leeds City Council, who will promote the event, Opera North, and the producers of 80s Classical, which takes place at the same venue the following evening.

Guest performers include vocalist Janice Robinson, Rozalla and rave group Shades Of Rhythm. Leeds-based DJ and broadcaster Andi Durrant will serve as resident DJ.

The one-day event reflects a growing shift toward single-day electronic music experiences, a trend highlighted in recent statistics from the Night Time Industry Association. Since 2022, there has been an 82% rise of one-day electronic music events.

“We’ve played with the Orchestra of Opera North before and it’s always an incredible experience, but being able to curate our own full summer event in our hometown makes it even more special”, said Utah Saints. “Leeds has been at the heart of everything we’ve done, and we can’t wait to share this huge night of dance music and orchestral power with everyone.”
