Kilimanjaro Live has announced the addition of two new promoters to its booking team.

As May’s multi-venue festival season gets underway and on the eve of The Great Escape, the London based company welcomes Peter Thomsen and Jamie Anderson.

Kilimanjaro Live, which celebrated its 10th Birthday in January this year, is seeking to remain competitive on the new music front line and stay focused on its mission to help artist’s develop successful live careers.

Anderson, who has previously worked at PCL Presents in Scotland, has been in the industry since 2008 and also has recent music management experience.

Whilst working for PCL, Jamie has experienced stadium and arena shows with artists such as Catfish and The Bottlemen, Jack White, Noel & Liam Gallagher, Vampire Weekend, Haim and Arcade Fire. He has also been closely involved in the Stag & Dagger Festival in Glasgow, which is Scotland’s biggest multi-venue festival.

Anderson will be responsible for booking and promoting his own artists as well contributing to the Kilimanjaro festival programme. He said “Having known Kilimanjaro and its strong reputation in the industry for many years, I’m both honoured and excited to become part of their team”.

Thomsen joined Kilimanjaro in 2017 as part of the company’s successful internship programme and settled quickly into the role of promoter assistant.

Thomsen, who originates from Denmark, will have the opportunity to continue to develop his skills at Kilimanjaro working with new music artists and singer-songwriters – including his main passions of indie and scandi-pop.

Peter commented: “It’s all hugely exciting for me, I can’t wait to get started and repay the trust that has been shown to me by the great Kili family”.

Company director and senior promoter Steve Tilley said: “I’m delighted to welcome Peter and Jamie to the fold and have them join myself, Carlo Scarampi, Alan Day, Georgie Donnelly and Mark Walker in representing Kilimanjaro in the incredibly competitive live music scene of the UK.

We’re all immensely proud of the artists we work with and these appointments are a recognition of the need for us to maintain our eyes and ears out at shows whilst also providing the best service we can to our existing clients. Peter and Jamie are here to build their own careers as well as those of the artists they bring in and we’re excited to have them on board and to be able to contribute to their development in the industry. I sincerely hope each of them loves working for Kilimanjaro like our whole team do and I wish them the best of luck out in the field and hope they find and develop industry relationships that allow them to fulfil their potential to the max along with that of the artists they bring into the company.’’

Kilimanjaro Live shows planned for 2018/19 include 15 dates on Ed Sheeran’s UK stadium tour, set to start in just over a week’s time in Manchester.
