Intellitix, an RFID (radio-frequency identification) supplier for the global live events market, has appointed Ian Bennett as head of UK business development.

Bennett will focus on growing the company’s UK client base from its London base.

Prior to his appointment, Bennett held the role of head of music at Last Second Tickets, and brings 15 years of experience working in the music industy.

Intellitix has previously serviced events including Barclaycard British Summertime, UEFA Champions Festival, Red Hot Chili Peppers at Knebworth and Wakestock.

“Ian joins the team at an exceptionally important moment for Intellitix,” said Intellitix CEO Serge Grimaux. “We’re thrilled that Ian will be enabling us to cope with additional demand for our services, and continue to grow the UK operation.”

Commenting on his appointment, Bennett said: “Since hearing about Intellitix and their technology back in 2011, I’ve been keen to get involved. This is the future for festivals and brands, to both connect with and monitise their patrons. It’s an honour to be invited aboard to help grow the business.”
