Liverpool Convention Bureau will be taking Beatlemania to IMEX America in October as part of an initiative to drive larger conferences across the Atlantic to Merseyside.

2012 is significant for Beatles fans, it marks 50 years since the Fab Four played together for the first time, and the opening day of IMEX America coincides with John Lennon’s birthday. To celebrate, the convention bureau and destination partner ACC Liverpool will host a Beatles themed party on the stand, with music, hospitality, some special gifts, and advice on how to incorporate the band into events and conferences.

“America is a developing market for Liverpool and this exhibition provides the perfect opportunity to illustrate the city’s range of world class venues, its heritage, dedicated and friendly service, and standing as one of the UK’s best conference destinations,” Kate Currie, Convention Bureau manager, said. “We look forward to taking one of our most famous exports to the exhibition and highlighting all that’s good about our [site].”
