Event legend Harvey Goldsmith will join world-renowned designer Wayne Hemingway MBE at the Event Production Show’s Access Sessions

Also joining Goldsmith and Hemingway for the session entitled ‘The gentrification of festivals: good or bad for the industry?’ is Justin Clarke, CEO of Taste Festivals and Dan Walsh, managing director of Full Fat.

The not-to-be-missed panel discussion takes place at 11am-12 noon on 19 February at the Event Production Show (Olympia, 18-19 February).

Harvey Goldsmith’s accomplishments include producing Live Aid in 1985 and producing and promoting shows with most of the world’s major artists, including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, Bee Gees, Jools Holland and Sting, to name a few.

Last year, Harvey co-founded On Blackheath festival in partnership with John Lewis, which featured headliners including Massive Attack, Grace Jones, and Frank Turner.

Meanwhile, national treasure Wayne Hemingway MBE co-founded Hemingway Design in 1999, having sold fashion brand Red or Dead, which he also co-founded.

Hemingway and his team put on a new cultural event in August 2010, called the Vintage Festival. In 2011, the festival took place London at Southbank Centre in London as part of the 60th Anniversary of the Festival of Britain (held originally in 1951), and again in 2012. In 2013, the Vintage Festival took place in Glasgow and Morecambe. Vintage is now an established franchise, with various events nationwide.
