The Forum Hertfordshire, Hatfield’s 2,250 capacity concert venue, is to celebrate its fifth birthday with a burst of activity through to the end of the year.

The venue, which has played host to Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, will.i.am and Professor Green, is making a 100k refurbishment of one of its nightclubs, The Attic.

As part of the refit, The Attic – a 320-capacity venue upstairs from the main auditorium – will gain an intelligent lighting system, an extended stage and LED screen, as well as new booths, flooring, display screens, a new bar and conference capabilities.

In addition, The Forum Hertfordshire’s web site was relaunched this week after having undergone a complete redesign, integrating Spotify playlists and social media functionality, and streamlining the ticket buying and venue hire processes.

Entertainment and events manager Lee Welsh said: “Over the last five years, The Forum Hertfordshire has cemented its reputation as a top live music venue, nightclub and Students’ Union.

“With onsite nightclub The Attic benefitting from a comprehensive refit, The Forum Hertfordshire continues to invest in its top-end facilities and, most importantly, providing a great night out.”
