“Unforeseen circumstances” have put a stopper on plans for the 2014 Another World Festival, according to organisers.
Scheduled for this weekend (8-10 August), the inaugural Buckinghamshire event had secured headliner slots with Snoop Dogg and Mark Ronson, as well as sets across the fest by Wretch 32, Sigma, Miss Dynamite and Trevor Nelson.
“It is with great sadness and regret we announce the cancellation of the Another World Festival 2014,” organisers said in a statement released yesterday (5 August). “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event will no longer be taking place this weekend at Silverstone Woodlands.”
Far from roughing it, attendees were looking forward to 24-hour room service, tent massages, flushing toilets and hot showers at the lavish fest.
Organisers are offering a full refund to ticketholders – and will be posting a gift basket to anyone who purchased the full weekend ticket, which includes AW headphones and aviators.
An update is due at 4pm today, so check back here for more news from Another World Festival.
