Crowd management specialist Limited Risk has teamed up with Secure Events and Assets (SEAA) in Australia to develop The Event Security International Training Programme.

Due for launch in January 2014, the initiative is designed to foster sustained improvement in the sector through the cross-pollination of ideas and practices between Australasia and Europe.

Alongside training courses, individuals taking part will have the opportunity to shadow their counterparts on the other side of the world.

The first five students, chosen on merit from an NVQ Level 4 course in spectator safety, will fly out with senior management from Limited Risk to attend three large-scale events in Sydney early next year.

“We are already in talks with companies in South Africa and the USA and we’re looking to roll out further training exchanges later in 2014,” Michael Quinton, owner/managing director of Limited Risk, said.
