Events agency drp has reported a record year, ending 2014 with a record gross profit of £8.3m.

The team celebrated the end of year with its Christmas conference and party held in the Worcestershire head office.

The studio complex was themed as ‘Santa’s workshop’, where 23 behind-the-scenes interactive sessions were created for the 155 team to experience and view all the various departments successes and highlights from 2014.

CEO Dale Parmenter outlined the year and then launched the company’s 35th anniversary year programme of activity, including an ambitious plan for growth.

“2014 has been challenging and a very busy year, we made acquisitions, re-branded, launched new services, increased team numbers and invested in our facilities,” Parmenter said. “It’s brilliant we’ve been able to achieve an increase GP, despite a drop in turnover, we’ve been focusing on efficiencies and offering value, so our strategy has clearly worked.”

The companied recognised its top performers with its Brilliance Awards, with the Sainsbury’s account team winning the anything’s possible team of the year and Ryan Curtis, from marketing winning the anything’s possible team member of the year and a trip to New York.

This year drp celebrates its 35th Anniversary, with a series of activities and launches throughout the year, including an ambitious CSR programme, culminating in huge celebration event in June.
