Broadwick Group has partnered with event producers Engine No.4 to create a new 10,000-capacity show series on London’s Greenwich Peninsula this August.

Broadwick Group’s live division, Broadwick Live, is promoting the six-show Magazine Open—Air series that will be staged in the grounds of the Magazine London venue in South East London.

The Thames-side site has not previously been used for an event of such scale, and Broadwick Live is promising to transform the area around Magazine London into a roofless dancefloor with views over the London skyline.

It said Magazine Open—Air will involve the creation of a bespoke open-air stage and involve production that pushes creative and technical boundaries.

Among the acts set to play the inaugural series are Our House w/ Maduza & James Hype, Josh Baker b2b Max Dean, 15 Years: The Soulection Experience, Amelie Lens b2b Sara Landry and Purple Disco Machine. Magazine Open—Air will run from 14-23 August.

“We’ve been excited about the potential of this project for some time,” said Broadwick Live MD Luke Huxham. ”Built on a foundation of unique programming, ambitious production, and obsessive attention to detail, Open—Air sits on the bank of the River Thames at Greenwich Peninsula, bringing people closer to London’s iconic skyline than ever before.

“Today, people want layered experiences with high production value and thoughtful curation. Open—Air is our answer to that. The stage and site have been designed to show London from a completely new perspective, delivering something truly unique for both our guests and artists.”

Broadwick Group recently secured an eight-figure investment from Lloyds to expand its venue portfolio and hospitality operations.
