Broadwick Live-owned Field Day festival (cap. 30,000) will return to Brockwell Park next year, having been staged in Victoria Park for the past four summers. The festival’s relocation will also see it moved from August to May.

Field Day was launched in 2007 and took place at East London’s Victoria Park for a decade before being moved south to Brockwell Park, Brixton, in 2018. In 2019 it was relocated once more to The Drumsheds, a former industrial warehouse space in North London. In 2021 the festival returned to Victoria Park as part of AEG Present’s All Points East (APE) event series, with an increased capacity of 40,000, in line with APE, and the production handled by LS Events.

Next year, Field Day will be part of the Brockwell Live Bank Holiday Weekender, taking place on Saturday, 24 May 2025. Field Day festival director and Broadwick Live non executive director Mark Newton said that after four years collaborating with AEG at Victoria Park, 2025 seemed like the ideal time to host a standalone event again: “The availability of both the new venue and date presented the perfect opportunity to do so. We look forward to working with the Brockwell Live team and joining their lineup of successful events in the park.”

Brockwell Live director Marcus Weedon said, “The festival has been a firm favourite in London for many years and we’re looking forward to recapturing the independent nature of the event. With our current roster of Wide Awake, Cross The Tracks and City Splash we feel that Field Day slots into the May Bank holiday weekend perfectly.”

To accommodate Field Day’s move to Brockwell Park on the Saturday, Wide Awake will shift from its Saturday slot back to its original Friday position with next year’s festival now taking place on Friday, 23 May. Wide Awake co-founder and booker Keith Miller said he welcomed the switch: “Changing dates allows us to keep the same artist budget, keep the same production values we have created and also keep average ticket prices similar to the last few years.”
