The world’s first African art fair will take place in the West Wing at Somerset House from 16 to 20 October.

The event will feature 15 galleries showcasing work from 70 artists, and David Adjaye, winner of the 2013 RIBA International Award, will create the design.

Artistic director Koyo Kouoh is organising a programme of talks, which will include Chris Dercon, director of Tate Modern, and international curator Hans-Ulrich Obrist, co-director exhibitions & programmes, and director of international programmes at the Serpentine Gallery.
