Aerial visual arts company AeroAVA has launched a new UK-based fleet of drones to provide displays for outdoor events, broadcast entertainment, public celebrations and marketing campaigns.

The company said the drones will show 2D and 3D logos, transitions, company messages and images across the sky. Larger drone swarms will also be able to simulate QR codes and complex animated 3D shapes in the air.

Standard and customised displays can be synchronised to ground-based music with lighting either pre-programmed or triggered remotely.

Each aircraft as standard carries 900-lumen RGB LED, which AeroAVA said gives the swarm high visibility in the sky for filming and spectators viewing from distances of many hundreds of metres.

AeroAVA is pitching its drones as a more sustainable alternative for outdoor displays as they produce no combustion gases or noise. The battery-powered drones create no residual debris and are reusable, leaving the performance space exactly as found.

AeroAVA co-founder Tom Rees said, “Drones are already being used to great effect for some major celebrations, but we believe our offering is even more accessible and versatile for organisers of corporate activities, PR campaigns and public events.

“The technology embedded in our drones makes them brighter, fly for longer and endure higher wind speeds than other comparable aircraft – and are also highly adaptable.”
