With the Coachella festival kicking off this weekend, the event’s video livestreaming partner YouTube is set to introduce 24-hour, traditional TV-style, coverage.

Promoted by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents, the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival will run across this weekend, April 10-12, and the weekend of 17-19 April, with a line up including Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, KATSEYE and Karol G.

The Google-owned streamer said that last year, more than half of Coachella’s total livestream watchtime came from the living room. With the launch of Coachella TV this year, it will enable fans to stream up to four stages simultaneously on their TVs and toggling between audio feeds for a custom festival viewing experience.

YouTube will livestream content from seven Coachella festival stages simultaneously. Footage from the Quasar stage will be made available in both horizontal and vertical formats. For the first time, performances from the Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre and Sahara will be live-streamed in 4K.

As well as a Watch With option enabling fans to view sets from acts including Fujii Kaze and KATSEYE along with live input from influencers, YouTube’s Coachella offering will also involve a Virtual Merchandise Store enabling purchases during performances.
