A new one-day electronic music festival Outwards will make its debut in Manchester this May.
Located across five outdoor spaces in Ardwick, the open-air event will have a capacity of 5,000. The festival, which is promoted by PROGRESS, will take place on 2 May.
Electronic artists on the lineup include Moodymann, Orbital, The Orb, DJ Pierre and LTJ Bukem.
Organisers said programming will extend beyond music with talks, workshops, an electronic music exhibition and record fair all featuring at Manchester’s newest festival.
Outwards festival director Olli Ryder said, “Outwards is an attempt to create a space where the past, present and future of that culture can exist together, in Manchester, where so much of this story began, and where there is still so much to be written.”
