US rapper Travis Scott has broken the record for the largest ever rap concerts held in India.

Scott’s Circus Maximus shows, promoted by Live Nation and BookMyShow, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, saw over 125,000 attendees across two concerts.

This follows Coldplay’s record-breaking shows in India, where the band played their highest-attended concerts to date at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium in February. These milestones highlight India’s rapidly expanding live music market, which generated ₹12,000 crore (US$1.4 billion) in 2024 and is projected to grow at a 19% CAGR over the next three years.

The Circus Maximus World Tour first launched in 2023 selling 1.7 million tickets worldwide across 76 sold-out shows.

The original tour finished in 2024 but revived in 2025 with a string of Asian dates including the sell-out New Delhi show with upcoming dates including Seoul, Hainan, Tokyo and Abu Dhabi.

Travis Scott also made history as the first rapper to sell out SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and broke attendance and merchandise records at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, grossing over $6.6 million.
