Christopher BarrettVenue operator Broadwick Live has opened a new 2,800-capacity venue in west London.
Located within the Westfield London development, and formerly a Victorian engine house, the Grade II listed venue can accommodate 2,800 standing for live and electronic music events, 1,500 for receptions and 1,169 for conferences.
The team behind venues including Drumsheds, Printworks and Magazine London said the space blends the rich legacy of the London railways with ultramodern design. It said the venue boasts a state-of-the-art audio and lighting package, a loading bay with lift access straight onto the stage, and four dressing rooms with toilet and shower facilities. The venue also includes a Mezzanine VIP area, a dedicated merch store, and a large ground floor bar.
“Bringing Exhibition back online as a live music venue has been incredibly rewarding,” said Broadwick live music booker Joe Grant. “As you’d expect from a Grade II listed building, it’s visually stunning with bags of character, but it’s also versatile. We’re getting a lot of interest from a wide variety of promoters and artists, all who want to put their stamp on the space. The recent launch events were a huge success, and we’re excited for everything that’s ahead of us.”
