Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard will remain at Wembley Stadium until 2027, following a renewal of the deal between The FA-owned venue and event owner Global Media & Entertainment.

The thee-year deal extends the long-term partnership between the media company and venue which began back in 2010. The 15th anniversary of the Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium will be celebrated at the show on 15 June.

Wembley Stadium director Mark Lynch said, “The concert is always a highlight in our calendar and a great insight into who might be playing headline shows here at Wembley Stadium in the future.”

The first Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium took place on 6 June 6 2010, with a line up including Rihanna, Usher and Justin Bieber. Since then, acts such as Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Robbie Williams and Harry Styles have all performed at the Summertime Ball, before going on to headline their own shows at Wembley a few years later. Dua Lipa and Coldplay, who will both be headlining shows at Wembley Stadium this summer, also previously appeared at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

Wembley Stadium is set to host a record number of concertgoers this summer, with more than 2 million expected for headline shows by acts including Coldplay, Oasis, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park.
