Max SteventonTerminal V will move to a new outdoor location in Glasgow next year, marking the first fully outdoor edition in the event’s history.
The festival, one of the biggest electronic music events in the UK, will take place on 5 June and 6 June 2027 relocating from Edinburgh’s Royal Highland Centre, where it has been held for almost a decade. Organisers said further details about the new site will be revealed soon.
Terminal V was founded by Derek Martin and Simon McGrath through electronic music promoters EE Live, which has produced events across Scotland ranging from club nights to festivals.
The new Glasgow site, located within the city, has not previously hosted a music event. The festival will operate across multiple stages. The capacity has not been disclosed.
Organisers said previous editions of Terminal V have contributed more than £5 million to the local economy, supported hotel stays, hospitality businesses and more than 1,500 event staff and freelancers, alongside significant spend across Scotland’s events supply chain.
Since launching in 2017, Terminal V has been expanded beyond Scotland with events in Croatia, London and Australia. Organisers said the festival has welcomed more than 250,000 attendees since its launch.
“As we head into our 10th anniversary year, it felt like the right moment to evolve Terminal V once again,” said Martin. “Creating our first ever fully outdoor festival in a new setting in Glasgow gives us the opportunity to take Terminal V to the next level, while staying true to the industrial identity that has always been part of the brand.”
McGrath said, “This new setting feels like a natural fit for the next chapter of the festival, combining the industrial backdrop that has always been part of Terminal V with the opportunity to create something really special outdoors.”
