Max SteventonSeveral Scottish music festivals have launched a fundraising initiative to support food banks across the country.
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (pictured) has joined with Skye Live, The Gathering, HebCelt, Eilean Dorcha Festival, Tunes by the Dunes and Black Isle Calling to create the Scottish Festival Mega Giveaway.
As part of the collaboration, each participating festival has donated a pair of tickets to its 2026 event. These have been combined into a single prize, offering entry to multiple festivals and reflecting the range of live music events hosted in Scotland.
Members of the public can enter the giveaway by making a minimum £10 donation through an online Crowdfunder platform. All funds raised will be distributed to food banks located near each of the participating festivals, with the aim of supporting local communities.
The fundraising campaign launches today (16 January) and will run for four weeks. It will be promoted through the social media channels of the participating festivals.
Organisers said the initiative is intended to demonstrate cooperation within the festival sector at a time when both events organisers and local communities are experiencing financial pressures.
“This collaboration is about coming together as one festival community to support the places and people that support us”, said Belladrum festival producer Dougie Brown. “Live events are rooted in their local areas, and this is a small but meaningful way for some of Scotlands festivals to give something back while celebrating the strength of our collective scene.”
