Scotland’s largest camping festival, the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (cap. 25,000), has raised nearly £200,000 for local grassroots charities.

The Kilimanjaro Live-promoted event, held near Inverness, marked its 20th year in the Scottish Highlands in 2024. The festival site featured a ‘Charity Alley’ filled with representatives from organisations including MikeysLine, Trees for Life, Lymes Disease Awareness, James Support Group and local groups including Lovat Shinty Club and Beauly Brownies.

The festival also partnered with the Elsie Normington Foundation. The foundation, which works to improve the lives of children with complex needs, featured across the festival site and raised more than £6000. Other charities to benefit included Highland Hospice,

While Belladrum also donated 200 tickets to other charities and individuals with the aim of generating funds to support community-driven initiatives.

Festival producer Dougie Brown said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have a platform that not only allows us to support these amazing organisations via ticket donations, but also gives them the opportunity to raise vital awareness – be that onsite during th event or through our marketing channels. Since its earliest days, Belladrum has always been rooted in community, and 20 years on, this focus remains at the very heart of what we do and something we’re deeply proud of.”
