Max SteventonA new wave of festival announcements has added further shape to the UK’s 2026 summer season, with several major events confirming early lineups and newly launched festivals outlining their plans.
Reading & Leeds Festival announced its first wave of acts last week, including Charli xcx, Chase & Status, Dave, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C. and Raye. Festival Republic said it is their first set of exclusively UK and Irish headline acts in 25 years.
In London, Field Day has revealed its 2026 programme as part of Brockwell Live, with Floating Points, Joy Orbison, Andy C and MJ Cole among those set to perform. The event will continue its focus on electronic and club-driven lineups.
Boardmasters (pictured) has released its first names for its August festival, with Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner, Kasabian, and The Kooks set to headline across Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach in Newquay. The festival will run from 5–9 August 2026, continuing its mix of live music and surf-based programming.
Elsewhere, Cuffe and Taylor has announced a series of summer shows by the Sex Pistols, including a date at The Piece Hall in Halifax on 11 July and Cardiff castle on 1 August followed by a show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre ta day later.
We Out Here has also outlined its plans for next summer. The festival, which will take place in Dorset from 20–23 August, has announced Arthur Verocai, Stereolab and Mulatu Astatke as early additions to its bill.
Carfest has also confirmed a trio of high-profile acts for its August bank holiday weekend event at Silverstone Racecourse. Jessie J, Nile Rodgers & CHIC and Rick Astley are among the first artists announced, as organisers prepare for another year of music, family attractions and automotive-themed activity.
Mumford & Sons have been confirmed as headliners for BST Hyde Park. Mumford & Sons. They will play on 4 July.
The Libertines, The Streets and Two Door Cinema Club will take the stage at Y Not Festival in Derbyshire. The festival is penned in from 30 July to 2 August.
Country star Zach Bryan will play a series of stadium shows in the UK next summer with dates including London, Edinburgh and Liverpool.
A new festival, Farmfest, is set to launch next year. Taking place at NAEC Stoneleigh, the event will take place from 22–24 May and will combine live music with agricultural activities and talks. Speakers confirmed so far include Jeremy Clarkson and Kaleb Cooper, while Groove Armada and Sophie Ellis-Bextor feature feature on the initial music lineup.
