Center Parcs Conferences & Events has launched this year’s Conquer the Forest teambuilding competition across four of its UK villages, following the success of the inaugural event in 2018.

Having initially launched at Woburn Forest last year, the competition is being rolled out at three additional Center Parcs villages for 2019, with each location hosting 6-8 teams for a one-day team building challenge throughout March.

With corporate wellbeing sitting high on most business’ agendas in 2019, Conquer the Forest is designed to highlight the benefits of outdoor team-building and allow businesses to experience what Center Parcs can offer first hand.

As part of each competition day, teams take on three challenges – Geocache, Aqua Tree Trekking and Laser Combat – for their chance to win a team building day for 10 at one of Center Parcs’ locations across the UK.

Alongside the challenges, participants enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the dedicated events space The Venue, hosted by representatives from the Center Parcs Conferences & Events team.

The first two competition days took place on Friday 1 March at Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire and Friday 8 March at Elveden Forest in Suffolk, with companies including HSBC, Public Health England, 1Life, Northampton Saints, Taylor Wimpey East Anglia and Prowler.io. Next up is Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire this Friday 15 March and Longleat Forest in Wiltshire on 22 March.

Dan Elliott, national sales manager at Center Parcs, said: “We are delighted to see the return of Conquer the Forest, which is even bigger and better this year! We’ve extended the run of competition days which will take place at each of our villages, to allow even more businesses to benefit from some time spent in the great outdoors engaging in some friendly competition.

“It also provides the perfect platform for us to showcase exactly what Center Parcs can offer the corporate market – whether that be our dedicated events space, The Venue; the many different teambuilding activities we have on offer; or our unique forest environment that provides a welcome respite from busy office life.
