Stand-up comedian Emmanuel Sonubi has been announced as the host for the Access All Areas Awards, which takes place at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) in London on 12 January.

The event, which also consists of a morning conference, will kickstart 2023 by providing a forum for the industry to discuss upcoming challenges and opportunities, while also recognising key industry success stories of 2022.

Sonubi, who began his comedy career in 2015, was nominated for Best Newcomer 2022 at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, as well as Best Show Nominee at the Next Up Comedy Awards 2022.

The comedian has been seen on the recent series of Live at the Apollo, Comedy Central’s Stand-Up UK and ITV2’s Stand-up Sketch Show. His TV credits also include The John Bishop Show on ITV1 and Pointless Celebrities on BBC1.

Sonubi has also performed at several clubs and festivals including Altitude Comedy Festival in Austria, The International Comedy Festival in Rotterdam, Comedy Central Live, Camp Bestival (cap. 10,000), Download (85,000), Otherlands (7,000), Kendall Calling (40,000), Tramlines (50,000), Y-Not (30,000) and Glastonbury (210,000).

The AAA Awards shortlist includes promoters such as DF Concerts and AEG Presents, independent festivals including Victorious (80,000), Black Deer (20,000), Standon Calling (17,000) and The Cambridge Club (15,000) alongside freelancers, production managers and ‘unsung heroes’.
