Broadgate has announced the launch  of AI-Spy, an immersive experience which invites participants to face Alistair, London’s ‘toughest Artificial Intelligence (AI) interviewer’.

The two-week pop-up will be open weekdays between 9am-6pm from 18 November. The experience fuses state-of-the-art emotion tracking with interactive storytelling to explore what it takes to become an undercover agent.

The project has been developed by StoryFutures, a research and development collaboration led by Royal Holloway, University of London, in partnership with creative technology company To Play For. The live event will explore the creative application of AI to examine how it can trigger, read, and respond to human emotions. Participants will be able to see how well they cope under pressure as compared to previous interviewees via a live leaderboard.

Alistair the AI uses To Play For’s platform Charisma.ai and a research team from Royal Holloway University will test verbal, emotional, and psychological responses. Through a series of interview questions Alistair will determine participant’s potential for a career in the fictitious Artificial Intelligence Service: AI6.

There will also be a panel talk on Fear and AI: Will I Be Replaced? on 27 November, for those who wish to explore the ideas and technology behind AI-Spy. The panel includes Professor Sara Bernardini, from the Department of Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London, and media and technology expert Guy Gadney discussing the impact artificialintelligence could have on our daily lives.
