AEG Europe has appointed former Vision Nine festivals and events MD Lynsey Wollaston as vice president and general manager for European Festivals.

AEG said Wollaston will oversee its European Festivals team’s day-to-day operations and play a key role in developing and supporting the strategic vision for the division alongside the US AEG Presents senior leadership team. She will work across AEG’s roster of festivals including BST Hyde Park (cap. 65,000) and All Points East (40,000) in London, Rock en Seine in Paris, and the recently launched Bristol-based 60,000-capacity Forwards.

Wollaston spent four and a half years at Vision Nine managing its events including Boardmasters (55,000) and NASS festival (15,000). Prior to that she spent nearly five years at IMG in roles including global operations director/senior director – Arts & Entertainment & Culinary. She was also operations manager for the Royal Horticultural Society. In total, Wollaston has more than 16 years of commercial and operations experience in the events industry.

Wollaston will report into AEG European Festivals CEO Jim King, who said of her appointment: “With her extensive industry leadership and experience, Lynsey brings huge value to our team.
