Max SteventonAggreko has renewed and expanded its partnership with Cirque du Soleil, continuing a collaboration that has been in place for more than 25 years.
The agreement will see Aggreko continue supplying temporary energy and temperature control systems for Cirque du Soleil touring productions, including shows staged under Grand Chapiteau Big Top structures in off-grid locations.
Aggreko provides power generation, power distribution, temperature control and monitoring services for touring sites, including remote locations where permanent infrastructure is unavailable.
The companies said the partnership also supports efforts to reduce emissions associated with touring productions. During 2024 and 2025, Aggreko deployed Stage V generators powered by HVO100 fuel at several European tour locations, including Gijón, Knokke, Prague, Rome and Málaga.
According to Aggreko, the use of HVO100 fuel and Stage V equipment reduced an estimated 538 tonnes of CO₂ emissions compared with conventional diesel generators. The company also said particulate matter and nitrogen oxide emissions were reduced by around 85% compared with Stage IIIA diesel generators.
Aggreko, headquartered in Dumbarton, said it will continue working with Cirque du Soleil and other organisations in the events sector on lower-emission energy solutions.
