The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that a man died at Saturday’s Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium after a fall, reportedly from the upper tier.

In a statement, Oasis said they are “shocked and saddened” by the incident and offered their condolences.

After receiving alerts about the incident around 22:30 GMT, the Metropolitan Police reported finding a man “with injuries consistent with a fall.” According to the Associated Press (AP), police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the fall or has footage to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Wembley Stadium stated, “Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.”

Sunday’s concert went ahead as planned.

Oasis are touring for the first time in 16 years having already done a string of shows this summer. Their next shows are in Edinburgh, 8-12 August.
