Glasgow’s Hampden Park will play host to the Scotland Vegan Festival this summer, from 10:30am – 4:30pm on Saturday 14 July.

The event aims to educate vegans and those interested in learning more about the subject, while giving them the opportunity to try a wide range of vegan products.

The event is organised by Vegan Events UK, and offers attendees the chance to browse 100 stalls showcasing vegan treats from worldwide caterers, and to take part in cookery demonstrations. There will also be inspirational talks, a series of interactive workshops and activities for children running throughout the day.

Some of the delicacies on offer include dishes from the Greek vegan deli, freshly cooked vegan hot dogs and SEEDLIP, the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit.

Craig Younger, general manager for Sodexo Sports & Leisure at Hampden Park stadium, said: “At Hampden Park we have a range of event spaces suitable for any occasion. With a capacity of around 4,000 people across our suites and private boxes, we’re able to tailor our space for conferences, exhibitions, dinners, drinks receptions and more.

We’re looking forward to welcoming the Scotland Vegan Festival to Glasgow, and hope this will be the start of an ongoing relationship with Vegan Events UK. With plans to launch our own vegan menu later this year, I’m sure the day will also provide some great inspiration.”

Tickets for the Scotland Vegan Festival can be purchased on the door for £3, with under 16’s free of charge. VIP tickets, which include fast track entry and a goody bag of vegan products, can be purchased online in advance for £15.
