Towersey Festival (cap. 5,000) has launched a membership network to support the event’s long-term future.

Organisers said the scheme, The Fellowship, has been created for those that are in a position to support Towersey and will offer its members exclusive rewards in return.

The membership benefits include free t-shirts, a private bar, early set-up on the site and backstage passes. The festival will also give away a free day ticket for every Fellowship membership purchased. These will be distributed via local charities to those most in need and not normally able to attend a festival.

The independent event’s organisers said that by introducing new ways to finance it, they can ensure that they do not have to drastically change the festival by “building financial stability and investing in business development and expertise”.

Towersey, which moved from Oxfordshire to Claydon Estate near Buckingham last year, will take place from 25-28 August, with a lineup including The Proclaimers, Frank Turner and The Divine Comedy.

Towersey Festival said in a statement, “We are passionate about sticking to our values, maintaining high production standards, and retaining what we all know and love about Towersey. To do that we have to look for new ways of raising finance with income from the Fellowship, your ideas and support, helping drive Towersey forward and survive into a much more competitive and unpredictable era for festivals.”
